Time off…

Dear friends, fans and Idiot Pilot family,

After months of record­ing, work­ing and pour­ing our hearts into more Idiot Pilot mate­r­ial, we have decided to take a moment to our­selves. The band will be going on indef­i­nite hia­tus, and although we can­not say at which point we will be work­ing again, there is no telling what the future may hold. As of right now, we are going to spend time focus­ing on other musi­cal ven­tures, mov­ing to new cities, spend­ing times with our fam­i­lies, and explor­ing the world out­side of Idiot Pilot.

This band has been a labor of love for nearly half of our lives, and if we can­not main­tain our per­vi­ous level of del­i­cacy, atten­tion and pas­sion in the music then it is time for a break. Idiot Pilot is our pride and joy, and we refuse to release some­thing into the world that isn’t the best that we can give. Thank you for your ded­i­ca­tion thus far, it means the world to us.

    Thank you for the update. I sin­cerely hope you guys come around the mid­west again, and I’m so look­ing for­ward to another album. That is very hon­est and hum­ble of you dudes to not release any­thing you feel isn’t your best.… espe­cially in a world of cor­po­rate BS.

    Thanks for the update, heart break­ing, I think you are one of the very rare, and best orig­i­nal bands out there. I hope you get re-energized and get back to, or not, writ­ing and record­ing songs. Either way, you’ve given us some­thing amaz­ing. Cheers
